Since the time, kings and nobility has celebrated in the historical Dresden Zwinger, music has played an important role in all of the impressive halls. Some of the best orchestras and musicians in the world already played there and in line with this tradition, the DRESDEN RESIDENZ ORCHESTRA presents the most famous masterworks of classical music. The chamber orchestra delights its audience with own arrangements and interpretations. Since its founding in April 2013, the young orchestra has played over 500 concerts in Dresden, Munich, Berlin and Valencia.
Founder and musical director, Igor Malinovsky studied in Vienna, Cologne and Zurich with Prof. Dora Schwarzberg and Prof. Zakhar Bron amongst others. At the age of 24 he became concert master at Bayerisches Staatsorchester, later he took up the same position at the orchestra of Komische Oper, Berlin and the orchestra of Palau des les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia. 2009 he was appointed as professor for violin at Hochschule Carl Maria von Weber Dresden and as visiting professor at „Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya“ Conservatorium Superior Barcelona.
These various international experiences represents a valuable enrichment for the musical work of the young, virtuos soloists of DRESDEN RESIDENZ ORCHESTRA.
